Last time we tried to meetup for Alex & Liz’s e’session it was completely rained out torrential style – so this time we managed to get a much nicer day! I was expecting to rock up to the boat sheds to take a few photos with the boats etc but Liz brought things! My word! Just a few things she had lying around the house… awesome! When we first met Liz up in our Bowral office she had a style-file filled with all the cool things she had seen at other weddings on the internet etc. I think her Hunter Valley Wedding later in the year is going to be incredible – she’s putting some serious thought into her themeing. “..if it can all come together as it looks in my head”

We had a lovely afternoon – and they couldn’t have made my job easier!

the cupcakes were apparently really yummy – remind me where they were from again Liz?

Alex read some sort of German poem – it sounded impressive, then again I wouldnt have known if it was made up… :)

I <3 details…

Liz was a little happy to be out boating… cute-alert!

super love this one…

congrats guys x

I shot another gorgeous family recently: Regan, Rebecca and their utterly adorable daughter, Tiana. Rebecca was the maid of honour for Craig and Marnie’s wedding I photographed almost this time last year! We met at the gorgeous Fagan Park around lunchtime and grabbed some photos. The park was a special place to Rebecca and Regan – it was where they had their engagement party and wedding location photos a few years ago.

so unbelievably cute!

I was incredibly drawn to Tiana’s amazing eyes…

and then a few snaps of R + R without Tiana…

Over 8 months ago I photographed the gorgeous Neil & Melanie’s wedding at Sylvan Glen.

Mel loved her photos and talked about doing a bridal down the track. They both live up in Cairns, so when Mel suggested we shoot the bridal up in Cairns I loved the idea! I turned the shoot into a mini-holiday and they were super kind to let me hang with them for the week. We had a great time and I had a much needed break in some lovely warm weather. It was actually really hard to come back to temperature half of what we had there! Cairns was gorgeous. I’ve even entertained thoughts of shooting weddings in Cairns in our off-season.

Naomi visited Cairns as a kid, and we chatted about a year ago about this amazing location – Paronella Park outside of Cairns. We even looked it up on the net and agreed it would be fantastic to shoot there one day. When Mel suggested Paronella for her bridal I was barely able to contain my excitement! Paronella is essentially a rundown spanish theme park which was created by one incredible man, Joe Panorella back in the 1920′s-’30′s. It was one of the earliest theme parks in the world, even before Disneyland was ever created. They frequently have weddings there and many use it for their location photos.

Here is a couple from Paronella and a few at the end at Mel’s local beach…

these buildings were unbelievable…

Paronella was kind enough to leave us a remote control for the lights at night so we could continue shooting after it got dark and they were running Japanese tourist groups through…

I can’t thank Neil + Mel enough for their hospitality, love and awesome company for the week!

Naomi has been super busy pumping out wedding albums for our clients and new ones for our studio samples. Just between you and me, I think we’ve made Queensberry pretty happy in the past few months :)

The below album is one Naomi created from Matt and Jess’ recent wollongong wedding. The album was created with a photo-front, in classic black leather and using the Queensberry DUO format. (both matted and digital pages)

if you own one of our Queensberrys make sure you join the ‘I own a Queenberry’ group on facebook :) )
